Too bad a lot of these require JavaScript. That makes it unusable to me. My techniques have worked quite well on my site and no spam gets through and doesn't use CAPTCHA or JavaScript, just cleverness.

I like the Captcha codes to protect the site from spams and abuse. In most of my sites I used this codes. It is very easy to handle.

Unfortunately CAPTCHA's are not nearly as effective as they used to be. For instance, XRumer can crack just about all of them. http://is.gd/3BnOw Too bad someone hasn't come up with a better solution.
